The Archives State Agency (ASA)
The Archives State Agency (ASA) is the state body in the Republic of Bulgaria which implements the nationwide policy on collecting, preserving, arranging and use of historically valuable archival records. ASA carries out the state policy on the National Archival Fonds' management, on the functional, administrative and methodical leadership of the State Archives and full control over the archival services' activities of search, collection, preservation and use of the archival records.
NOTICE In connection with the transfer of archival fonds of the Central State Archives ( CSA) to a new repository the use of records from the series K and ‘Republic' shall be limited from 4 July 2011 according to a decision of the Managing board of the CSA. The orders for original records from the series K and ‘Republic' shall be accepted till 15 July 2011. From 18 July to 31 October orders shall be implemented for records from the series K and ‘Republic' if they are microfilmed or kept in the repository on the premises 5, Moskovska Str.
